Living Stronger (Living Longer, Living Stronger)

LLLS is an endorsed progressive strength exercise program of The Council on the Ageing (COTA) for over 65’s. A range of sessions and services are offered to support healthy and active ageing. The program combines strength, balance, and mobility exercise. It’s not too late to start. Add life to your years and years to your life! Active ageing and living helps to maintain health, well-being, and quality of life. Whilst one size does not fit all, exercise can help to:

  •  Prevent and manage a range of health, medical and mobility issues

  • Maintain brain function, memory, thinking, and mental wellbeing

  • Improve strength, balance, and mobility

  • Get and stay socially connected

  • Live independently

MONDAY
11.45 am – 12.30 pm: LLLS Easy Move
1 – 1.45 pm: LLLS Move Well
and 2 – 3.30 pm: My Move (By Appt)
*LLLS held during school term times on Monday and Wednesday

WEDNESDAY
1 – 1.45 pm: LLLS Move Well
and 2 – 3.30 pm: My Move (By Appt)
*No LLLS sessions held on public holidays or
during Vic School holiday times

HOW TO JOIN!

  • Conducted in a friendly, encouraging, supportive environment

  • Cater for health, injury, and mobility challenges, and age is no barrier

  • Suit your personal health, well-being, and fitness needs

  • Conducted by a skilled, experienced, qualified Exercise Physiologist specializing in exercise and aging

  • Sessions are well-priced, approx. $10 per visit, and run on a 6 – 8-week term basis. Term packages start at $60 per person for 6-weeks / visits

  • You can join an indoor group session and/or get personalized sessions or advice; Senior’s health and fitness profile and wellness coaching are offered

  • Classes are conducted on Monday and Wednesday

  • No mat, floor, or kneeling exercises. No sessions on public or school holidays. Non-gymnasium based, no membership or joining fees.

What to wear?
 

Casual clothing. Dress in layers - long-sleeved top, t-shirt, pants or track pants

or shorts in summer, and comfortable, supportive footwear.
